Declutter Day 3/Pins on a Map
Declutter Day 3: "Get rid of candles with little to no wax left. Burn them or toss them. They're collecting dust."
Today is another day that I will be skipping/modifying. We found out last year that we're all pretty sensitive to the smelly candles you get in jars (headaches, light-headed, stuffy noses, and coughing), so we got rid of them in a garage sale. If we want to make our house smell good, we either diffuse essential oils, or use Poofy Organics' Candle Melts. If you're looking for great smelling, hand-made with clean ingredients wax melts, you need THESE in your life!
Instead, we relocated some of our storage items from our 3 seasons porch to new shelving in our newly (almost) finished basement! In the process, we unburied the giant maps that we use to mark various places we've been to! It was pretty exciting. We've actually never had a place to hang them, and we're pretty sure they're going to live on the wall in the basement now. Mr. Zornimal started collecting hat pins when he was a teenager from the various places he would visit. We bought the map nearly 10 years ago and Mr. Z made a frame for it and started attaching the pins. It's been a year or 2 since we've had access to the maps to attach more, so Z and Lil' G had quite a collection to attach today.
Looks like we're going to have to make an effort to visit the northwest, deep south, and east coast.
