Nine Eleven was a day that destroyed my innocence. As a young empath, the fear campaign totally worked on me. I remember vividly the days, weeks, and months afterwards. The feeling like I couldn't make plans for my life because at any moment, there could be another attack.

I couldn't stop watching the news and all the images and stories about all the things happening. The passing of the "Patriot Act", the anthrax scares, the propaganda about Islamic extremists where on on hand they're telling us not to racially profile, but on the other hand they were racially profiling. The wars, the "thwarted" attacks which only caused our government to pass more laws restricting the freedoms of its own people, in the name of "safety".

I don't remember what actually caused me to "wake up". But at some point, I started reading and hearing about things from Nine Eleven which didn't add up to me. I started asking the questions and not getting the answers that made sense and being told I was crazy for thinking that our government would do something to harm its own people.

The more I was told I was crazy, the more I wanted to learn about the "other side of the story".

Twenty-two years later, I'm pretty convinced that the "official" story about that day is a lie. I have lived, and am still living, through so many other things which prove to me that our government hasn't had the best interests of The People in mind for a very, very long time.

So, on this day, I'm still an empath and I do remember the lives which were lost that day, as well as the following days, months, and years because of decisions which were made in the aftermath. But I also speak out, because they, their families, and the rest of the people who were affected by its happening and the aftermath (spoiler: THE ENTIRE WORLD), deserve to know the truth.
