On Independence Day this year, at our city's parade, our group stood and turned our backs to every one of the "s"elected government employees who walked down the street- which included separate groups for our congressional rep, our governor, our state senator, our state reps, and even the DFL had their own group. It was our way of showing these "s"elected individuals- and all the other parade-goers- that these men and women DO NOT represent us.

We know that we made an impact, because the group behind us began cheering louder for the employees each time we turned around and faced them.

It was actually an amazing way to experience the exact reason why protecting our First Amendment is so important- for ALL OF US!

A friend of a friend sitting next to me did not join us in our small protests. She explained to me that she doesn't participate because she hates politics since she had a very negative experience a few years ago. I responded that I ALSO hate politics and I ALSO had a very negative experience (several now) and didn't want to participate anymore UNTIL THEY STARTED COMING AFTER OUR KIDS!

I have abstained from speaking out for a few years now... but I'm starting to find my voice again. Praying, speaking with God, has helped me. I know that there is only ONE TRUTH- that the TRUTH is not subjective. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I think I am ready to start speaking the TRUTH again...

Except this time, I'm no longer trying to wake the sheep.

This time, I'm speaking to support the lions who are fighting for our children.

I'm speaking to reclaim the way of life our forefathers sought to protect for us here on this earth.

I'm speaking because I know that I am living IN this world, but am not OF it.

Did you know we are at war? The battle of evil vs. GO(o)D is raging all over the world. To many, the enemy appears to be winning.

I have felt pretty hopeless these past few years.

But, I am finding hope again. Through my conversations with God. Through the words and actions of so many who are fighting on the correct side of TRUTH.

I am not as fierce a fighter as some of them, but, get enough brave warriors together and what do you get? You get an army. 

I will not be silent, or silenced, any longer.

The best is yet to come!
